The Society of Human Resources Management
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the leading voice of the human resource profession. SHRM provides education & information services, conferences, seminars and government & media representation to more than 200,000 professional & student members throughout the world. Our Pensacola Chapter includes more than 200 Human Resource managers from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
In 1999 we partnered with CareerSource Escarosa’s Development Board to sponsor the Welfare Transition Program Awards. Each program participant who receives an award has made the difficult transition from welfare to full time employment; and each person has a compelling story to share of their successful struggle to reintegrate into the workforce. This year SHRM graciously presented scholarship awards to five WTP participants for their dedication and success during their time in the program.
