Natalie
Roddy and Natalie Harris moved to Pensacola in March 2014. They were looking for a new start in the area, but without a job, ended up in a shelter with six kids, unable to find work. They had heard about CareerSource Escarosa’s Welfare Transition Program and decided to seek help there. Amy Coates, one of the Welfare Transition Career Advisors, was assigned their case and she knew from the very first appointment that Mr. and Mrs. Harris were determined to find employment to improve life for their family!
The family was signed up for child care, cash assistance, and Work Experience. Natalie worked in food service with a challenging rotating schedule, but was then fortunate to obtain employment with Baptist Hospital where she remains today. The family now has a home and says they couldn’t have made it through this rough time without the help of CareerSource Escarosa. During their time with CareerSource Escarosa, they received gas cards which they needed to conduct job searches, child care, cash management and assistance.
