When I first came to CareerSource Escarosa, I was introduced to Ms. Sheila Savage who told me about the Ex-Offender Program. I was in the Work Release Program at the time and was officially released in June 2016. The information she shared with me was very inspiring and made me feel as if I too could succeed. Within one week of meeting her, I got a job as a Utility Worker. One month after leaving the Work Release Program, I got another job as a Sheet Metal Mechanic Foreman. My new boss allowed me to hire my own crew, and the first person I thought of was Ms. Savage. I contacted her and asked for her assistance in identifying two other ex-offenders in her program for me to hire as helpers for my crew. That very same day, Ms. Savage contacted me with two referrals, both of which I hired. I am extremely grateful for the help I received from Ms. Savage and CareerSource Escarosa!
