Nacole had an extremely hard time obtaining employment during a critical period in which she needed to have means to provide for herself and her newborn child. As a result of not receiving employment offers, Johnson became timid and lacked motivation. She believed employers weren’t interested in hiring her based upon her lack of work experience. She credits her involvement with CareerSource Escarosa as a fundamental tool which helped her gain the experience she needed to obtain meaningful employment.
Johnson’s goals were to gain customer service skills and improve her typing skills by familiarizing herself with Microsoft Office programs. Since her participation with CareerSource Escarosa, Johnson has improved her computer skills and joined a professional team of quality caregivers at Pacifica Senior Living – Carpenter’s Creek. Her main goal in life is to be able to provide for her family and to continue her education and professional experience in the medical field.
When Nacole Johnson was asked what inspires her on a daily basis she stated, “My son inspires me to do the things I need to do in life.”
Johnson’s late grandfather always encouraged her as a child with these words: “Never give up, there is always another way and never say I can’t.”
